Giovanni Cesaroni, currently senior economist, has worked at the Italian Prime Minister’s office since 1999. He has collaborated with several research and training institutions in Italy: Istituto Ricerche Economiche e Sociali (IRES) CGIL, Centro Arcelli per gli Studi Monetari E Finanziari (CASMEF) LUISS “Guido Carli”, the Research Department of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione (SSPA), Scuola Superiore di Economia e Finanza (SSEF) and Commissione per la Valutazione, la Trasparenza e l'Integrità delle amministrazioni pubbliche (CiVIT). He participated in the Commission for the Spending Review of the Monti government and collaborated with the Special Commissioner for the Spending Review Carlo Cottarelli and the Italian Corte dei Conti. In addition, he has had several academic collaborations at universities Rome "la Sapienza", Rome "Tor Vergata", Cassino and Salerno.
He stadied at University of Rome “La Sapienza”, “Bocconi” University of Milan and holds a PhD in Economics and the qualification as Associate professor in Applied economics.
