Edoardo Pizzoli is an economic statistician and accounting expert currently engaged in research projects at University of Luxembourg. He collaborates with several research institutions in Luxembourg, such as the Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques (Statec), the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the Max Planck Institute (MPI). He is specialized in sustainability issues and new areas of non-financial accounting, such as environmental and social assessment.
Previously he worked for Eurostat, UN-FAO and Istat in Italy on national accounts and indicators. He have taught industrial economics (QMW College of University of London and University of Roma “La Sapienza”) and laboratory of statistics (University of Florence).
His studies and research have been carried out in several universities in Italy (Rome, Turin and Pavia) and in Europe (LSE in London and UNILU in Luxembourg). In 2011 he co-leaded the UN Handabook publication on rural development and agricultural households’ income indicators. Recent publications are “Monitoring Income Policies: the Mediterranean Case Study” (2018) and “The Green Economy: a Technological Option Against Economic Crisis?” (2020).
He is a member of the Société Luxembourgeoise de Statistique (SLS), the International Input-Output Association (IIOA), the Associazione Italiana di Scienze Regionali (AISRe) and the World Economic Association (WEA).
