Claudio Cozza is assistant professor in innovation and globalization at the Department of economic and legal studies of the University of Naples Parthenope in Italy. Before, he has been researcher at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, at AREA Science Park – Trieste and the Italian National Statistical Office (ISTAT), meanwhile conducting collaborative research collaborations and teaching activities in various universities (Trieste, Pavia, Piemonte Orientale “Amedeo Avogadro” - Novara, Urbino “Carlo Bo” and Sussex - UK).
Claudio holds a degree in economics from University of Rome “La Sapienza” and a PhD in industrial economics from University of Ferrara. His research interests include the economics of innovation, in the areas of R&D, internationalization, innovation systems and policies associated with regional development and internationalisation.
Over the past fifteen years he has participated in several EU-funded research projects.
He has a national qualification as Associate Professor - sectors 13/A2 (Economic Policy) and 13/A4 (Applied Economics) in Italy.
He is a member of the Regional Studies Association (RSA) and the Associazione Italiana di Scienze Regionali (AISRe) that is the Italian track of ERSA and RSAI.
